Addiction is simply a craze for a particular thing,which is difficult to curb despite realizing that particular thing is harming you. It is necessary to understand the meaning of addiction otherwise one will never evaluate the harmful effect of it on one’s self. Every single day a person be it an youth or a middle aged one is getting addicted to harmful substances like drugs and alcohol , knowing well that one sip of alcohol or one dose of drug is pushing them towards the end and soon there would be a time when saying no to alcohol or drugs would be impossible for them. That’s what addiction is.

A dual struggle surrounds alcohol and drug consumers. On one hand there is the problem of leaving this habit and on the other hand is the strong desire of getting back to the normal life. One can think that it is easy to heal up gradually but it is not an cup of tea. It was once estimated that 56% of youths get addicted to alcohol or drugs; they think that doing drugs or having alcohol is a cool thing to do; while others get drawn towards these during moments of frustration, intense pain or due to loneliness. It does sound strange but this is the reality.

Research has shown that long term drug use affects brain function that persist long even after the individual has stopped using drugs. Alcoholism causes a set of complex behaviors due to which an individual becomes increasingly preoccupied after consuming alcohol.

Thus from celebs to regular teen aged persons could get addicted to alcohol and drug. Once you get addicted you start losing control over your life.

This is quite natural we have seen that perhaps in a party we are celebrating one’s success or something and we raise a toast and express our well wishes. But what kind of well wishers are we? We are raising toast with something that is harmful for that person and even for us too. Ways To Burn Calories

These days people all across the world pay a lot of money and efforts for staying fit. Women mostly intend to stay slim; and to achieve that figure they resort to unhealthy methods such as eating less; over exercising, following wrong diet etc. Then there are people who eat a lot of junk food, and never watch out for calories and for being lazy in nature they never take any exercise. As a result they become fat and later obese. For both kinds of people it is necessary to adopt a healthy attitude along with a healthy lifestyle.

The first thing that you need to remember is you have to stop having junk food as well as high calorie food even if it is home cooked. This should be your first step. Now you need to burn calories. All you have to do is stay active and take plenty of exercises. Do not be a couch potato. Try to walk as much as you can. Do not take the car, cab or bike every time you have to go to the grocery store. If it is not much far from your home then take a walk to the store. And the golden rule you should always follow is,do not take the elevator always take the stairs where its possible. But if you are having problem in climbing the stairs then you should stop climbing stairs and immediately see a doctor.

Do household chores on a regular basis; but do not go overboard with it. Try watering the plants, vacuuming the house etc. these chores will help you burn calories.

Exercising is the best method for burning calories. But you have to maintain regularity. If you stop after a while then the calories that you have burnt would come back. It is better to join a gym and train under an instructor.

If you do not want to go for gym then try to take free hand exercises at home.

Go for jogging every morning. You can also go for walk twice every day. Doing jump rope would also help you burn calories fast.

Practice yoga; this way you will not only have a toned physique, but a fit body as well. But always learn yoga postures from a certified yoga instructor.

Staying fit is highly essential. So burn calories in a healthy manner.
